A Typical Day
Here's an idea of what a day at one of our community home ed clubs might look like
Timetable
The day starts at 9am when we welcome children and parents in.

We have an opening circle at 9.30am and usually spend much of the morning outside and/or engaging in arts & crafts. Perhaps we'll have a picnic snack with herbal tea and some vegetables and home-made organic hummus.

Families come together for lunch between 12 and 1pm.

The children might explore yoga, drama or music and continue with their creative pursuits - whatever takes their fancy.

We wrap up the day with some reflections at 3pm.
Costs
Daily costs to attend are £55-60, which helps to fund the venue, arts materials and the creative provisions that are shared with the children.
Remote Working
We have a hall space with tea-making facilities which is available for parents who wish to stay on-site and work (or read / write / otherwise spend time in a remote-working space) for a small charge of £5. We also have access to a small room for confidential calls.

This space will be available to use each day between 9.30am and 3pm (please note there may be some disruption at the beginning and end of lunch (12pm and 1.30pm) as we migrate furniture to the main hall.
Parents are welcome to join the children to eat.

There is currently Wifi on site.

If you'd like to make use of the space please let us know so that we can ensure adequate space.
Food
Children (and parents) will bring a packed lunch in each day - please ensure that there are no high sugar foods (chocolate, sweets etc.). Details about any other foods to avoid (related to allergies of the children attending) may follow in due course.

We will provide organic savoury and vegetable snacks available all morning each day for children to snack on and organic fruit snacks available each afternoon.

As we adopt a 'gentle eating' approach, children will have access to their bags at any point during the day if hungry, so they may pre-view or revisit their packed lunch at will. We will not hurry children to eat fast or remove food when they are still eating in the interests of keeping to a schedule.
The Team
We will have three separate clubs operating on site. The members of each club has a short biography on our website here, and the days will be supervised as follows:

Hummingbirds Monday - Vickie and Fran
Hummingbirds Friday - Vickie and Emma
Safety & Security
Our Team are all fully DBS checked and there will always be an adult trained in paediatric first aid on site
